The State of Florida has implemented a Hometown Hero program. It helps  buyers who qualify for financial assistance.  Money is available for down payment and closing costs.  The program is  no longer exclusive to Hometown Heroes.  It is now open to more buyers who qualify.  Money is available to anyone who has not owned a home in 3 years or does not currently live in a  home they own, there are some exceptions. Hometown Heroes grant money  is not just for first time home owners.  Call to find out if you qualify.

The buyer must still meet the Hometown Heros income criteria.

The buyer must have a minimum of 35 working hours a week to qualify. Florida incomes typically take 2 incomes to purchase a home in an entry level price of  300 to 400 thousand dollars.
